THINK DAMN YOU THINK!

I’m out of fucking ideas. For over a week I’ve tried to write something for this blog, and I just don’t know what the fuck I’m doing. I’m going crazy, I must be. How else could you explain this lack of thought. Am I becoming apathetic to everything that surrounds me? Am I afraid to post my true feelings for fear of being laughed at? Or is it the fact that has I sit here watching a show featuring a crappy “rock” band I am coming to the conclusion that all rock music is either the same bullshit or just a lame attempt at making money?

How sad is it that many “Metal Heads” wait for an old band to get back together for a reunion then to listen to new music. I don’t think nostalgia is the entire reason either. I think it is because a lot of the rock and metal music put out today is just a Xeroxed copy of the last. When someone does do something different or tries to break the mold of what is being put out they get bashed anyway!

I keep trying to get into bands people say are good, but one of the things I’ve noticed about these bands is all they want to do is scream their lyrics. When they do this they all sound the same! I could probably play 3 different bands for you, and you would wonder why the lead singer plays for 3 different bands! If I am missing the point of it all please I implore you to let me know. (Fred if you are reading this…this means you!) Tell me what I’m missing!

I’ve also come to the conclusion that while I like bands like Pantera and Metallica, I am largely not a metal fan. Or atleast not of the metal I spoke of above. So for those out there that know their music more then they know themselves educate me! Thank you and Goodnight.

New Tenant

Overhyped

The overhyped day known has 6/6/06. Or 666. Everyone seems to be on the 6/6/06 day of evil. The real 666 was 2000 years ago, but that’s neither here no there. What I hate about today is the fact that its become and day for corporations to whore their shit on us. From bad music, to political books. Ann Coulter a conservative released her book today entitled “Godless: The Church of Liberalism” just have it out on 6/6/06.

Christians are going absolutely nuts that today will be the apocalypse. Some, I am willing to bet, are currently looked in their Y2K storm shelter. It’s just another Tuesday in June folks. Everyone calm down.

It seems like it’s even bigger news on our cable channels where they are doing stories on famous and not so famous “666” related items. Like the state highway 666 which runs from Utah into Colorado and New Mexico. It’s being renumbered because it is “666”. I think we make a huge deal out of just numbers.
