What is 'emo'?

Sorry about not bloging much this month. I’ve just been devoid of thought. But I do have a little question for my readers.

What is ‘emo’?

I keep hearing and seeing where more and more things have become ‘emo’. I mean literally everything is becoming emo. ‘Emo’ is short for emotional. Which is having feelings. I’ve come to realize having feelings and emotions is ‘uncool’ which is short for ‘not cool’.

Back to the topic, I see there is an ‘emo’ style of dress, and even an ‘emo’ style of music. Five or 6 years ago ‘emo’ didn’t exist, at least not that I knew of. I don’t know what classifies a band has ‘emo’ either. Shouldn’t all music evoke some type of emotion? I thought that was the point of listening, or one of the reasons for listening.

Many things are being considered ‘emo’ now. Poetry and writing being one. From what I can gather with my small brain is that anything that someone doesn’t like or sounds ‘wimpy’ is being considered ‘emo’ which I think is sad.

I don’t consider myself anything, but I guess since I try to write poetry I must be emo? It seems to me people are just afraid of their feelings sometimes.

So again I ponder the question, What is ‘Emo’?

Succumbing to Myspace

Bad Blogger...Very Bad Blogger...

Well this past week I’ve been a bad blogger. I haven’t written or read much of anything in the blog world. I’ve been in a bad mood lately, and wanted to just relax this week, which I did. So hopefully this week I’ll get back to a somewhat normal schedule for the enjoyment of all. I’ll have to catch up on a few blogs, which I will. If I get some good pictures from the Pirates home opener Monday I’ll post them! 0-6 is a horrible way to start the season, and a horrible way to get the fans excited about the team.

Well folks it only took me 2 months to figure out how to use the company’s email system. I really have no use for it because I don’t have time to email people at work, while there. Usually they just start yelling when they need me, and if I need them I yell back. I’m just glad I finally figured that out, plus I figured out how to get to the staff directory too, I feel that I accomplished something for once.

I also got my desk cleaned finally. I decided to put my laptop on a different smaller table for now so I have a desk space to use if I wanted to write or do whatever. Therefore the desk is empty right now until I find my damn notebook. The one with paper not the laptop. Plus with the laptop more at eye level I am more comfortable when typing on it so it isn’t so fucked up!

Hopefully this weekend I’ll get some links up and get my blog(s) rolling/ruling again. Till next time…PEACE BITCHES.

Sneak Previews on VH1

For those of you that are obsessed with VH1’s “Celebreality” I’ve noticed something very strange. I first noticed last year with the “Surreal Life” and the first season of “Hogan Knows Best”. I again noticed this has the new seasons of both shows started up. They seem to show at 11 AM Eastern the new shows before they are scheduled to air later that night.

Take for instance today, April 2nd. At 9 tonight it’s supposed to be the “Surreal Life” showing the first part of the news production that they take part in. That aired today at 11 AM. Then tonight at 9:30 they are scheduled to air the Family Vacation episode of “Hogan Knows Best”. Which is on right now at 11:30 AM as I am writing this.

Why does VH1 do this? I have no idea, but I find it very interesting.
